Pentecost

May 24, 2026

May 27th, Pentecost, Whitsunday

The “birthday” of the Church when the Holy Spirit descended like tongues of fire on the Disciples and they spoke and could be understood in many languages is a day where historically everyone wore white (Whitsunday) but now it is a day everyone wears red!  Wear red or white! But also let Sam know if you’d be willing to lead part of the service in a foreign language. Different from years past where the one reading is in a couple languages, a sentence at a time, and often the same sentence year after year  - we’re going to try to do fewer parts to the service (none of the “may” pieces) and have as many of those parts as possible be in other languages.

There will also be confetti cannons at the 10:30 service.
