Sun Nov 2nd, All Saints’ Sunday

All Saints’ Sunday will be much like last year. At each service the necrology will be the dedication at the beginning of the Eucharistic Prayer. If you have someone who has died in the past year who you would like us to remember by name on this day please let the office know. Even if you’re 100% sure no one could possibly forget, please let us know. We keep a running list as we put names in the bulletins, and sometimes people add names the morning of immediately before the service or by text message the night before, or just after we’ve printed. There are a hundred reasons we might miss someone in our first draft and we do not want to fail to honor someone you love and miss.

Prayer List Reset

It has become our custom to remove all names from the Parish Prayer List immediately after All Saints’ Sunday. Every Bells between now and that day will remind you that you can add any names back for the following week. The objective is to gently release names of people who have gotten better or are no longer with us. Other churches have a time limit for how long someone can be on the prayer list… we just ask you to recommit to those names after All Saints’.
