Acolyte Training and Updating

Adults and interested young people are invited to come talk through some of the facets of worship which Acolytes and Eucharistic Ministers perform. Anyone who has cared about this over the past three years knows Fr. Sam’s piety is very broad. He’s served Eucharist with priests from Uganda, Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, South Sudan, and even the Archbishop of Jerusalem. Everyone does things slightly differently, so he learned to do things slightly differently all the time. For some that’s infuriating, for some it’s freeing. Either way, from time to time we should get together and talk through what each position is, the logic of the things we’re doing when we lead worship, and especially to remember that looking intentional is more important than getting it “right.” So if you serve in any capacity in worship, or if you are just curious, y’all come.
