Why do all this online stuff?

Fr Sam

You may have noticed that nearly everything we do at St. Paul’s is also available online—our Sunday services, announcements, special homilies, prayers, and even the occasional clergy reflection. And it’s not immediately obvious to everyone… why.

First, it’s for those who can’t be with us in person—our homebound members, those recovering from illness, people who have moved or live far away, or anyone who simply needs to stay connected in a different way. Second, in today’s world, almost no one sets foot in a church they haven’t already visited online. People want to know who we are before they walk through the red doors—and our website, videos, and posts give them that chance.

Thanks to the creativity and dedication of folks like Michael, Michael, Shane, and a growing team of volunteers, we’re finding new ways to help people discover St. Paul’s, hear the Gospel, and feel invited into this community. And yes—we recently fixed up our website (for a blessedly small amount of money!) so we can alter the content, it’s easier to navigate and more welcoming to visitors.

Every view, like, share, and prayer makes a difference. We’re not trying to go viral—we’re trying to be visible. And you help us do that.

In fact, if you want to help us create content to push from our media platforms, Sam would be excited to work with you on what you’re passionate about and whether or not we can do it in a sustainable way. Let him know 😊
